An independent look at Universal Air & Heat's Google reputation in Tampa, FL.
"Stay away from this company and see the post in Air Pros, who supposedly bought this company and said they were servicing their clients. I had been sold an entire new system, down to the grills. The install was so unprofessional and has caused damage that they have been promising to fix for almost two years. I have had them out here several times and even had water damage in addition to the damage during the first install which they have promised even from their management and district managers. They have left me and my young daughter with a damaged and potentially dangerous conditions from not fixing the damaged dry wall and insulation. They also didn't seal up the exterior parts and caused critters to be able to enter my home. Electrical damage. I also didn't have heat for weeks last winter. They have come and reinstalled the ventilation tubes and still I am left without any answers or response and resolution. Now, they have not returned any of my communication via phone or email."
We are deeply sorry — and frankly, troubled — by everything you and your daughter have experienced. What you have described goes far beyond an installation issue; it has affected the safety and comfort of your home for far too long, and that is not something we take lightly. The damage to your drywall, insulation, and electrical work, the pest entry points left unsealed, and the weeks you spent without heat — none of that should have happened, and the silence that followed made it all worse. We want to make this right in a real and lasting way, not with another promise that goes unfulfilled. Please contact us directly at [dedicated resolution email or direct line] and ask for [specific manager name]. We will personally oversee your case from this point forward and ensure a structured, documented path to full resolution. You deserve nothing less.
"Do not use this company. I had a new AC unit installed incorrectly causing the unit to overflow, and leak into my first floor. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. I'm spending thousands to fix their poor installation and half built unit. UPDATE: Management said it wasn't their problem since the company has since been bought out. I spent months calling and emailing them, they would promise a response, only to have nobody call or email. I think they were hoping I'd forget…"
You will not be forgotten — and we are genuinely sorry that our previous responses gave you reason to feel that way. Being told that your situation was no longer our concern following the acquisition was wrong, and we understand why that answer left you without recourse and out of pocket. A change in ownership does not erase the responsibility we hold to customers who trusted us with their homes. We would like the opportunity to review the full scope of the damage caused by the installation and discuss what remediation looks like for you. Please reach out to us at [direct contact] so we can open a formal case under your name and give you a clear timeline — not another assurance that fades into silence.
