An independent look at Tampa Roofing Company, Inc.'s Google reputation in Tampa, FL.
"Tampa Roofing Company provides poor installation quality and cut corners that the customer will not notice until it's too late. The installation crew drove over a dozen nails through the drip edge, which can cause a water leak or premature rotting of the fascia board. The installers cut corners in an area the homeowner could not access or view. When I contacted Tampa Roofing Company, they stated that by state law, they only have to warranty workmanship for two years. If you plan to have your roof longer than two years and want a company to stand by their installation, look somewhere else."
Thank you for taking the time to share this — and please know we are not taking it lightly. What you've described regarding nail placement through the drip edge is a serious installation concern, and we genuinely want the opportunity to make it right. A roof is one of the most significant investments a homeowner makes, and you deserve to feel confident in every inch of that work — not just for two years, but for the life of your home. We are sorry that our response left you feeling dismissed rather than supported. That is not the experience we want anyone to walk away with. We would very much welcome the chance to speak with you directly, send a senior member of our team to inspect the area in question, and have an honest conversation about what we can do to restore your trust. Please reach out to us at your convenience — we are here and we are listening.
"I found this business on line for my mom who lives in South Tampa. They couldn't repair her leak right away. But they tarped the area so she would not have any more sheetrock damage. A crew showed up today, had their own tools, completed the job. They did a outstanding job. Plus they cleaned up after theirs elves. I would hire this company any time there is a issue. They are honest and up front. They did a good job and did not try to take advantage of a elderly person."
This truly means the world to us — thank you so much for trusting us with your mother's home. Knowing she is safe, dry, and well taken care of is exactly why we show up every day. Our crew takes real pride in treating every customer with honesty and respect, and it means a great deal to hear that came through clearly. Please let your mom know she has a friend in us anytime she needs anything. We are grateful for your kind words and for giving us the opportunity to be of service.
"Great job redoing the roof, but they left broken shingles and nails EVERYWHERE! My husband got one through his shoe and nearly through his foot in the yard, and I'm now on my fifth tire replacement. We're still picking them up by hand. I really hope the landscaper doesn't hit one with the mower and get injured. I have to watch the animals closely outside, too, because of this. Update: You wouldn't have a record under my name. We are in an apartment complex. I tried to contact our landlord, but he didn't want to bother pursuing the issue since the roof was done... October 2017, I think? Just be more careful about cleanup afterwards. A magnetic metal-finder is at Home Depot for something like $25. That's what we ended up buying."
We are so relieved your husband was not seriously hurt, and we are sincerely sorry for the stress, expense, and safety concerns this left your entire household dealing with. A clean, safe worksite is not optional — it is part of the job, full stop. Your suggestion about the magnetic nail sweep is spot on, and we want you to know that kind of direct, practical feedback genuinely shapes how we operate. We are grateful you took the time to share it even after the fact. While we recognize it may be too late to remedy the specific costs you incurred, we would welcome the chance to connect with you directly if there is anything we can still do. Thank you for the grace you extended in your update — we will honor it by doing better.
